Together with the winners of the European Defence Challenge (ASSETs+ initiative) we visited the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) in Brussels. It is important to understand what is the role of the Association in defence especially when Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. joined the Association. ASD is the voice of European Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries, actively supporting the competitive development of the defence sector.
Europe needs to develop its own defence industry to ensure its independence and sovereignty. We must work on developing our own technologies so that we do not have to use non-European technologies. We need to work on developing new materials to minimize the need to use rare earth materials.
Rzeszów University of Technology actively participates in this process.
